As the first year of the Surplus
Lines Clearinghouse comes to a close, NAPSLO reasserts its opposition to tax
sharing in an article published by PropertyCasualty360.com. Brady Kelley,
NAPSLO Executive Director, was contacted to explain NAPSLO’s position on tax
sharing for the piece posted yesterday. Kelley illustrates NAPSLO’s belief that
the cost of tax sharing would far exceed the benefit to states because of the
immaterial amount of tax under debate.
